NEW SEWING SHOP IN MOROCCO

Eager to provide for his family and to contribute to the life of his community, Hicham returned to his country of origin to make his dream come true by opening a sewing shop.

A DIFFICULT START

In search of a new job, Hicham decided to come to Belgium. However, in the middle of the Covid-19 crisis, the situation soon turned out to be more difficult than expected.

Far from his relatives, it was also hard for Hicham to be separated from his daughter. Without any result and concerned that he would not see his daughter grow up, he eventually decided to return voluntarily to Morocco, his country of origin.

TAILORED SUPPORT

Following this difficult decision, Hicham could benefit from an accompaniment as well as financial support on site provided by the local partner, IOM Morocco, to encourage him in his new professional activity in his country of origin.

A NEW LIFE POJECT

Determined to ensure the economic stability of his relatives, Hicham used this help to buy the necessary equipment and to undertake his dream project: open his own sewing shop. In the longer term, he would like it to become a cooperative for all the inhabitants of the village.
